RIVER DISCO X BRAXE + FALCON
River Disco returns to Mr P’s for another day of alfresco dining and disco dancing on Sunday 19th November.
Alan Braxe and DJ Falcon are indisputable architects of the French Touch… The emotive house music conjured from looped samples with an inimitable Gallic flare that emerged from Paris in the mid 90s.
Both of their trajectories trace back to Roulé, the label that Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter ran between 1995 and 2003. As two of the few members of the Roulé roster, Braxe and Falcon are central to the story of the French touch.
Braxe co-produced 1998 Stardust one-off “Music Sounds Better With You,” a single that is to French house as the croissant is to French pastry and one of the biggest house tracks of all time. Falcon partnered with Bangalter on a pair of singles that stretched the crew’s template to especially ecstatic proportions. Supported by Brisbane’s best!
