Live entertainment for your event creates a wonderful atmosphere and can really elevate your guest experience.  We suggest no more than a 5-6 piece band or DJ in Rivershed.

Howard Smith Wharves is subject to noise regulations as set by Brisbane City Council.  All outdoor amplified music must cease at 10pm, venue doors will be closed at this time and outdoor speakers will be turned off. Entertainment in line with the indoor noise restrictions may continue after this time.  Details on specific noise restrictions for Rivershed can be found in the fact sheet.

How does the beverage work for my event?

Many of our clients opt for a beverage package which is priced per person dependant on the duration of your event.  You may opt for a consumption/bar tab – labour charges may apply.

We are able to provide a cash bar facility for which guests can pay individually for beverages during all, or part of an event. Cash bars will be operated from Howard Smith Wharves fixed bars and minimum spends and labour charges will apply.

Spirit enhancements to a beverage package or consumption/bar tab are available for the final two hours of your event only.  A spirit only cash bar can be provided at no additional charge when used in conjunction with beverage package for the duration of your event.

You may enhance your event with cocktails on arrival or post dinner cocktails, these must be pre- ordered during the planning phase.

Felons Barrel Hall being a hospitality venue is already styled like a modern Australian take on a German beer hall.  We do not provide any additional styling or theming; you are welcome to bring in a supplier for any additional items including centrepieces that you require for your event.

Can I change the furniture for my event?

We can provide round tables and banquet chairs in lieu of our standard trestles and bench seating or even a cocktail style set up in Felons Barrel Hall.  Additional charges apply for the removal and reset of the standard venue furniture.

We can remove the kids play area and table tennis area for a fee, pin ball machines must remain in place.

Can you remove the flags?

The flags are a permanent fixture of Felons Barrel Hall and can not be removed or switched for corporate branding.

Is the venue fully private?

When you hire Felons Barrel Hall for an exclusive event, you can enjoy full use of the inside areas of the venue.  Please note River Garden and the front deck may still operate to the public.
