Final Piece of Turf Has Been Laid at the Howard Smith Wharves Amphitheatre

Last week Luke Fraser (Howard Smith Wharves CEO) was joined by Councillor Amanda Cooper and Councillor Vikki Howard to lay the final piece of turf at the Howard Smith Wharves Amphitheatre.

This stunning piece of Brisbane will soon be the perfect spot to enjoy picnics, live music, fitness activities and soaking up our warm Brissie weather. With views of the city, Brisbane River and iconic Story Bridge – where else would you rather be?

In addition to the amphitheatre, other public open spaces and parklands will make up 80 per cent of the 3.4 hectare precinct including 13,000 plants adding to the family-friendly space. Howard Smith Wharves will be easily accessible from the New Farm Riverwalk, City Reach Boardwalk and two cliff-face lifts from Bowen Terrace.

Keep an eye out for updates on official openings and events.
